Your advertiser account.
Set up the right way.
Account guide. Updated 28 October 2026.
Your business owns its ChatGPT advertiser account. PlacementOne manages campaigns through an invitation. You keep your login, account data and advertising payment method.
Two accounts, two different jobs. Your PlacementOne workspace is for onboarding, approvals, reports and our service billing. OpenAI Ads Manager is for the advertiser account, ad delivery and advertising charges. One login does not create or connect the other.
If you already have an advertiser account
- Sign in to OpenAI Ads Manager using your own OpenAI login.
- Check that you have selected the correct business advertiser account.
- Open the account’s user settings and invite the PlacementOne operator email supplied in your workspace.
- Use Member access initially. If a specific task needs additional permission, we explain why before requesting it.
- Provide the advertiser account reference in your workspace so we can verify the correct business and accepted invitation.
If you need an advertiser account
- Open OpenAI Ads Manager and sign in with your own OpenAI login.
- Use the route to create the advertiser account without publishing an initial ad, where offered. Do not activate a campaign just to explore the settings.
- Enter your real business details and carefully confirm the country, currency and time zone. These settings may be fixed after account creation.
- Complete the verification and billing prompts. Enter your advertising card directly with OpenAI.
- Invite the PlacementOne operator from account user settings, using the email provided in your workspace.
- Return to the workspace to request verification of advertiser access.
Account signup, business eligibility, targeting and campaign delivery are separate checks. We confirm the conditions relevant to your business before preparing a launch.
Plan the advertising budget
OpenAI currently documents an A$25 minimum daily budget for AUD advertiser accounts. At that setting, allow A$750 for a 30-day plan or A$775 for 31 days, before applicable taxes and PlacementOne fees. These are planning figures, not a delivery forecast or a confirmed minimum for every campaign-total configuration.
Daily budgets are averages, so they do not create an exact monthly cap. Where supported and suitable, we use a campaign-total allowance with defined dates. A shorter test needs its own account and schedule check. We do not offer an always-on A$200/month advertising campaign.
Budget guidance checked 28 October 2026. We recheck the actual account before accepting a campaign. Read OpenAI’s current campaign budget guidance.
What happens after the invitation
The workspace shows Awaiting PlacementOne verification until an operator accepts and checks the account, business reference and permissions. Completing your checklist does not automatically connect an account or establish campaign readiness.
We also check advertising billing readiness and the account’s permitted budget and schedule. We prepare the campaign in a non-delivering state, test agreed measurement and ask you to approve the actual launch version and advertising allowance.
Keep your account secure
- Never send your OpenAI password or full card details to PlacementOne.
- Use individual invitations and the minimum permissions needed.
- Review the account name and ID before approving campaign work.
- Keep control of the account’s payment method and billing contact.
- Remove our invited access after a completed handover.
